September 7 through October 29 – Chinese Lantern Festival at Daniel Stowe Gardens: Open to the public from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday evenings. (www.chineselanternfestival.com).

October 5th – 7th, 2017 – Wing Haven Fall Plant Sale Shop the wide variety of plants, trees and shrubs assisted by our expert garden volunteers. All proceeds benefit Wing Haven gardens, programs and educational outreach. Enjoy the Wing Haven Nursery Shop with arts and exclusive Wing Haven homemade products and related merchandise. Open to Wing Haven members October 4.

October 11, 2017 – District 3 Meeting of the Garden Clubs of NC: at Daniel Stowe Botanical Gardens. Executive Director Patrick Larkin will present “Butterflies, Bees, and Me!” $25 includes free tour of gardens, meeting, program, and lunch. October 16, 2017  – Charlotte Garden Club mtg Annabel Renwick: Notes from a Small Prairie
Annabel will address the natural and cultural history of the Piedmont Prairie and will summarize work done to recreate a rendition of this vanishing landscape. Free & open to the public.  Mint Museum on Randolph Road, Refreshments at 6:30, program at 7:15.

October 21st, 2017 – Plant and Garage Sale: Charlotte Council of Garden Clubs House from 8am to 1:00.

November 20, 2017 – Charlotte Garden Club mtg North Carolina Cooperative Extension Agriculture Agent Debbie Roos: Create a Pollinator Paradise! An overview of regional pollinators with an emphasis on bees. Participants will learn about the principles of designing and planting a pollinator garden and how to select trees, shrubs, herbaceous perennials, herbs, and vines to attract a diversity of pollinators. Free & open to the public.  Mint Museum on Randolph Road, Refreshments at 6:30, program at 7:15.
